Who may use LiveInterp

LiveInterp may be used by individuals, businesses, schools, event organizers, guides, and other organizations or entities that need live translation between one speaker and one or more listeners. You are responsible for making sure your use of LiveInterp complies with laws and rules that apply to you.

Accounts

You may need to create an account to use LiveInterp. You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login details secure, and for all activity that happens through your account.

Credits and payments

LiveInterp uses credits for paid speaking time. Credits can be purchased or topped up through the payment methods made available in the app. Credits are not refundable, except where a refund is required by mandatory law.

We charge for credits in the normal way and do not provide tax-free billing arrangements. You are responsible for handling any tax, accounting, reimbursement, or business administration requirements that apply to you.

Acceptable use

You may use LiveInterp for general communication, travel, events, meetings, guided experiences, and other situations where live translation is needed. You must not use LiveInterp:

• for illegal, harmful, abusive, or deceptive activity;
• to harass, threaten, impersonate, or violate the rights of others;
• to record, translate, or share someone else's speech when you do not have the required permission;
• as a guaranteed or certified translation service for legal, medical, financial, emergency, safety-critical, or other high-risk decisions;
• in a way that overloads, disrupts, reverse engineers, or interferes with LiveInterp or its providers.

AI translation accuracy

LiveInterp uses automated speech, translation, and audio generation technology. AI and automated translation systems can make mistakes, misunderstand context, omit words, mistranslate names or technical terms, and produce inaccurate or inappropriate output.

You are responsible for deciding whether LiveInterp is suitable for your situation. We are not responsible for misunderstandings, harm, loss, damage, decisions, or consequences caused by mistranslated, misinterpreted, delayed, incomplete, or unavailable output.

Sensitive information

You should avoid speaking passwords, secrets, confidential business information, medical information, legal information, financial information, or other sensitive data through LiveInterp. If you choose to share sensitive information through the service, you do so at your own risk. We are not responsible for sensitive information that is disclosed because you or another participant spoke it during a session.

Service availability

LiveInterp is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, available in every location, or available at all times.

We may suspend, limit, change, or discontinue all or part of LiveInterp at any time, including if operating costs increase, if a provider becomes unavailable, for maintenance, for security reasons, for legal reasons, or for any other operational reason.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or block access to LiveInterp if we believe you have violated these Terms, misused the service, created risk for other users, interfered with the service, or used LiveInterp in a way that may expose us or others to legal, security, or operational harm.

Third-party services

LiveInterp depends on third-party providers for parts of the service, including payment processing, speech-to-text, translation, text-to-speech, authentication, hosting, and related infrastructure. These providers may process information according to their own terms and policies.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, LiveInterp is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost profit damages, or for damages resulting from translation errors, service interruptions, unavailable credits, user conduct, third-party services, or your reliance on translated output.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when our service, practices, costs, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date. Your continued use of LiveInterp after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
